Joanne Lee
Dealer Principal
Meet Jo Lee – Dealer Principal
My career began after graduating from university as an accountant, with my first role as State Accountant at Budget Rent a Car. In 1991, I entered the motor vehicle industry in Kalgoorlie, and that’s where my passion for the industry truly began.
Over the years, I’ve worked in every role within a dealership and quickly discovered my love for the people, the fast-paced environment, and the thrill of helping someone find the perfect car.
Today, I’m proud to own and operate Northam Mazda, alongside an incredible team who go above and beyond every day!
The best part of owning a business? Having the opportunity to create pathways for people, watching them grow in their careers, and developing along the way. I love seeing our people exceeding their own expectations and achiveing more than they ever expected. I enjoy being able to offer a great purchase experience and fantastic vehicle brands to our wider community as well as being able to support community events and clubs.
Outside of work, I love to cook—though more often than not, it ends in disaster and a quick grab for the fire blanket!
I also treasure spending time with my daughter, Jess and our two mini dachshunds, Clive and Nigel.
Work is my happy place!

Calina is the driving force behind the smooth day-to-day running of our dealership. With a strong background in customer service and administration, she joined our team over two years ago as a Service Advisor, before moving into the administration department. Her leadership skills, adaptability, and passion for the business have seen her recently step into the role of Business Operations Manager.

She assists with marketing across all our brands, acts as Mazda’s Culture Champion, oversees the dealership’s administration, fills in as Parts Manager when needed, and helps manage the overall operations of the dealership. Her ability to juggle tasks, support the team, and keep everything running smoothly makes her an invaluable part of our leadership team.
Outside of work, Calina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and caring for her animals on her small farm.
What does Calina love about working here?
“It truly is a family environment. I love being part of our customers’ journeys—especially during new car deliveries and when they return for servicing and share their stories with us. Our customers are treated like family, and it’s so special when they come back and tell us about events in their lives. I also love that no matter what each of us might be going through personally, our team is always there to support one another. And I’m especially grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given here to grow—both professionally and personally.”
